Welcome to our Telehealth Nursing SIG which was officially established in 2002. We have grown to 193 US and International members. We offer many opportunities , such as, learning about Telehealth Nursing, networking with colleagues and participating in Telehealth Nursing conference calls, presentations, special projects and workshops.
The mission of the Telehealth Nursing SIG is to provide collective input, guidance, and information from Telehealth Nurses in various settings regarding the emerging role, policy, educational preparation, competencies, clinical orientation, and use of telemedicine/telehealth techologies. The Telehealth Nursing SIG interests include reviewing existing standards and guidelines for telehealth nursing (e.g. competencies, core principles, guidelines and standards) and increasing awareness and disseminating information to legislators to advance the role of nursing in the 21st century. |
