The eHealth Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are the same: to drive improvement in the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare through information and information technology. The Foundation, which incorporated in 2003 and received IRS approval for non-profit status in 2004, received initial funding and matching contributions from the American Health Care Association and National Center For Assisted Living. As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, the foundation now accepts contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations, and others interested in the future of America’s long term care profession. Donations to the foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law. Recognizing the need to consider the full spectrum of care, the foundation is working with long term care stakeholders to consider the right care, the right care setting, and the right cost to meet the care needs of elderly and disabled Americans now and in the future. The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) was founded in 1989 by advocates of professional medical services to the long-term and post-acute care industries. Our mission is to provide a national communication forum, advocacy, as well as legislative and regulatory representation for executives and their associated businesses.
