A discussion on the current status of mHealth, focusing on what has been accomplished and what the future holds for these technologies. The presentation will specifically address areas of needed collaboration and improvement that will allow mHealth to reach its full potential in the years to come.

Carolyn Lauckner is currently pursing her doctorate at Michigan State University in the department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media. Her research interests include the use of mobile phones and social media in healthcare, as well as the effects of viewing online health information. She has also aided in the development of telepsychiatry and telestroke networks, with a focus on providing quality healthcare to individuals in rural areas.
