ATA Policy A-Teams

In 2010, the ATA Board of Directors approved a change in the associations policy process in order to allow broad ATA member participation regarding emerging and immediate priority issues. Specific issues will be addressed through the work of special task forces, called ATeams (like ATA team). The teams will use The HUB, ATA's members-only networking and communications portal, for collaboration.

The links below will take you to each A-Team's page on The HUB.  Once there, click "Join This Group" to become a member of the A-Team.  (Please note, A-Teams and The HUB are open exclusively to ATA Members.  When you click the links below, you will be prompted to enter your ATA Member ID and Password.)

Current A-Teams

  • CPT Coding
    Lead: Nina Antoniotti, RN, MBA, PhD
    This policy work group was formed to draft ATA's Medicare code request for 2011. The group will recommend ATA policy on CPT/HCPCS code additions as needed for new applications.

  • Medicaid Telehealth Coverage and Reimbursement
    Lead: Karen Rheuban, MD
    This policy work group was formed to draft specific Medicaid telehealth proposals and promote ATA involvement with relevant organizations, notably National Association of State Medicaid Directors, National Governors Association, and National Conference of State Legislatures.

  • Telehealth and Meaningful Use
    Lead: Robert Jarrin
    The purpose of this member group is to recommend ATA strategy and to proactively advocate for the integration of telehealth into ?meaningful use? policy objectives as being defined for Stage II AND Stage III.

  • Telehealth Data Exchange
    Lead: Neal Neuberger, CISSP
    This group was formed to recommend ATA policy related to the integration of telehealth digital data and HIE/EHR/PHR for 2013 and 2015 stages. It is also charged with monitoring beacon community program lessons for telehealth and ONC implementation of HITECH Act important to telehealth.
