    The Florida TaxWatch Center for Health and Aging released a new report highlighting some of the challenges impeding telehealth reimbursement policy in the state. Using ATA’s Gaps reports and other sources, the report determined that when compared to other states in areas such as health, business, and telemedicine, there is significant room for improving Florida’s policies.

  • Update on CMS Payment Decisions - Two Steps Forward, One Back

    On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) announced the latest decisions of the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) regarding funding for remote patient services. As announced, starting in January 2015 CMS agreed with ATA’s prior request to reimburse, as a telehealth service, seven new covered services for telehealth including annual wellness visits, psychotherapy services, and prolonged services in the office.

  • ATA Launches First China Telemedicine Meeting
    Oct 28, 2014
    ATA kicked off the Opening Ceremonies of the First China International Telemedicine Technology Meeting today in Tianjin. Dozens of distinguished Chinese government and industry officials joined ATA leadership to launch the meeting and extend their support for the partnership. The meeting is being covered by major media in China and is being followed closely by health professionals and the medical technology industry at large.
