    Leading industry stakeholders and investors in telemedicine are set to engage with participants at the upcoming Telemedicine Investor and Strategic Summit on Monday, May 4, 2015 in Los Angeles. Co-hosted by American Telemedicine Association (ATA) and the law firm of Jones Day, the Summit will be held in conjunction with ATA's 2015 Annual Meeting and Trade Show. The Summit will include educational panels of industry experts, investors, and strategic partners as well as structured networking and opportunities for emerging telemedicine, telehealth, and mHealth companies to present their innovative solutions.

  • CMS Approves American Telemedicine Association’s Request to Expand Telehealth Coverage

    The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) applauds the decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to allow Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to use telehealth services. The decision was made as part of the release of a new payment and care delivery model: the Next Generation Accountable Care Organization (ACO). The decision extends coverage for telemedicine services to millions of Medicare beneficiaries.

  • American Well’s Amwell™ Earns American Telemedicine Association’s First Accreditation for Online Patient Consultations

    The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) has awarded its first Accreditation for Online Patient Consultations to Amwell, a healthcare service provided by American Well. In its first two months of operation, over 200 organizations have registered for the ATA program. Several other accreditation announcements are expected later this month.
