ATA is the leading resource and advocate promoting greater access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology.

Membership is open to all individuals and organizations interested in providing distance healthcare through technology. ATA members include health care professionals, administrators, technology specialists, providers of telemedicine products and services, and students from around the world. ATA has four membership types: Individual, Student,  Institutional and President's Circle/Corporate.


Individual Membership

Dues: $210 / year

Membership in the ATA puts individuals the center of the American and global telemedicine community. In addition to the networking opportunities, ATA Membership provides multuple other benefits:

  • Discounted subscription to Telemedicine and e-Health, a peer reviewed journal released 10 times yearly 
  • Discounted subscription to Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, a peer-reviewed journal by the Royal Society of Medicine Press 
  • Other discounts on telemedicine resources and materials
  • Access to ATA Special Interest Groups, Chapters and Discussion Groups
  • Continuing Education Credits
  • Assistance from and consultation with ATA staff

Student Membership

Dues: Free

ATA offers complementary memberships to full-time students and hospital residents.  Student Members get all the same membership benefits as Individuals Members, except they receive an electronic version of the journal Telemedicine and e-Health in lieu of a hard-copy. 

Full time is defined as 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduates; 9 credit hours for graduate students.  Proof of enrollment is required when applying.

 

 


Institutional Membership

Dues: $1,400 / year for up to 7 individuals (Additional individuals can be included for $200 / person / year)

Institutional memberships allows non-profit and government organizations to obtain multiple individual memberships with one payment at a discounted rate. All employees listed under an institutional membership receive full individual membership benefits.

 


 Corporate Membership

ATA Corporate Members enjoy a high-profile status in the organization and benefit from being associated with the broader cutting edge research and development efforts of its members. ATA aggressively promotes its Corporate members among telemedicine practitioners, Congress and with medical societies.

Whether telemedicine is your company's primary service or an emerging market, tapping the intellectual capital of the cutting edge leaders in the industry is important to you. ATA Corporate Members represent the most authoritative experts in the field of telemedicine.

ATA has three levels of corporate status: Corporate MembershipPresident's Circle Membership and elite Sustaining President's Circle Membership.  ATA's Circle Members represent companies making an investment in the association's future by playing a special role in shaping the telemedicine industry during these critical, formative years. Additional privileges provide an opportunity for the Circle Member to position itself as a leader among the growing numbers of emerging providers. Sustaining President's Circle Members make an extra financial contribution to ATA and recieve exclusive benefits and promotion within the association. 

 


Sustaining Membership

Sustaining Members contribute $500 or more annually in addition to their regular membership fees. Sustaining members are acknowledged on the ATA website, in the ATA Member Update and are entitled to special privileges at the ATA Annual Meeting.
