In 2003, ATA President, Ronald Weinstein, MD, Director of the Arizona Telemedicine Program, established an ATA Institutional Membership category to better serve and recognize the organizations at the forefront of telemedicine advances. Since that time, the field of telemedicine has witnessed the maturation of telemedicine programs across the globe as reflected in the growth of the number of institutional members of the Association. Today, more than 80 organizations participate in ATA at this level.
