Accredited Training Programs
Alaska Federal Health Care Access Network (AFHCAN)
AFHCAN, a non-profit division of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), provides live customer in their Anchorage offices, at your organization, via video teleconference and webinar as well as computer based training modules you may complete at your own pace. Most training is done with individuals or small groups to allow our trainers to personalize each training experience. Courses include general telehealth orientations, software and hardware training and specialized education for telehealth coordinators.
Arizona Telemedicine Program
The Arizona Telemedicine Training Program offers two full-day training sessions:
- Developing a Telemedicine Program - Designed to give a broad overview of a variety of telemedicine topics, including: clinical services, telecommunications and infrastucture development/operations, distance education, evaluation, business aspects and equipment demonstration.
- Telemedicine Applications - Offers a more detailed approach for any telemedicine program, providing a more in-depth look at the clinical applications of a telehealth program. This conferences are excellent for individuals or groups who have some telehealth experience and are interested in expanding their services. It's also a great course for those new to telehealth who are interested in understanding this growing industry.
Thomas Jefferson University
Thomas Jefferson University offers a 5-week online Telehealth Facilitator Certificate Program. The certificate was developed by physicians and telehealth administration to bring clinical, academic, and program level telehealth experience to help you prepare you for the role in the inter-professional healthcare team. You will learn how to successfully facilitate clinical telehealth encounters to improve patient healthcare access, efficiency, safety, and outcomes. Participants complete coursework in five modules including: An Introduction to Telehealth, Expansion of Telehealth, Settings of Telehealth Delivery, Troubleshooting in Telehealth, and the Essence of Coordination.
Waldo County General Hospital
Center for Speech Pathology Telepractice Training Course
CSP's Speech Telepractice Training Program is a two-day training, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experiences. Ten telepractice labs with thirty-seven competencies are taught, practiced, and assessed.
At the completion of training, each participant will be fully skilled and equipped to begin speech telepractice. A combination of direct instruction and hands-on practice in individualized telepractice training labs will be provided. The training labs provide competency based skills training in every aspect speech therapy telepractice. Each participant will also have a “real time” online coaching
session with one of our instructors following training.
