Call for Participation

ATA invites you to share your research and endeavors at ATA 2018.

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is pleased to announce its Call for Participation for the ATA 2018 Annual Conference & Tradeshow. You are invited to submit a proposal in any of the following topic areas that addresses important issues facing the telemedicine industry.

We're looking for content that: 

  • Is data-driven program review with lessons learned

  • Demonstrates the integration and alignment of telehealth into the health ecosystem

  • Reflects innovation and cutting edge content

  • Targets practices that address evolving career, professional development and organization implementation.

  • Stimulates and provokes discussion and audience engagement

  • Facilitates knowledge transfer and development of new competencies

  • Provides diverse approaches for different types of learners or organizations

  • Presents a business case with evidence supported by research or data

  • Uses methods that draw out relevant past knowledge and experiences

  • Motivates learners with goal or outcomes focused design

  • Demonstrates the relevance of lessons through “real-life” case studies

Important Dates

  • Wednesday, September 13 – Submission deadline

  • Early November  Acceptance / Rejection Notifications sent via email

  • November 30 – Confirm Acceptance to present

  • January - March 2018 – Speaker Training and Coaching Opportunities

  • March 31, 2018 – Speaker Registration & Housing Deadline; Submit Final Session Materials

Submission Guidelines

The deadline to submit proposals is September 13, 2017. All proposals should include the following:

  • Engaging program format that involves the audience and stimulates discussion.

  • Conceptually strong foundation, well-written, with clearly stated outcomes and appropriately documented theory, research, and/or experience.

  • Qualified presenters with expertise/experience in the subject matter.

  • Presentations will be reviewed for relevance and purpose to provide a balanced educational program.
