  • ATA Launches First China Telemedicine Meeting

    ATA kicked off the Opening Ceremonies of the First China International Telemedicine Technology Meeting today in Tianjin. Dozens of distinguished Chinese government and industry officials joined ATA leadership to launch the meeting and extend their support for the partnership. The meeting is being covered by major media in China and is being followed closely by health professionals and the medical technology industry at large.

  • State Legislators Receive ATA’s Telemedicine Grades, Offer Bills Aimed at Improvement

    Around the country, state law and policymakers have been responding to ATA’s recently released gaps reports that graded each state on their telemedicine policies. In addition to their state’s respective grades, many lawmakers have expressed interest in specific issues concerning coverage and reimbursement, privacy and security, and licensure portability. State lawmakers at the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislatures Executive Meeting were presented with the gaps reports last week.

    The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is seeking presenters for ATA 2015, ATA’s twentieth annual meeting and tradeshow focused exclusively on telemedicine, telehealth and mHealth. The meeting, expected to attract over 5,000 attendees and more than 250 cutting-edge healthcare technology vendors, will take place May 3-5, 2015, in Los Angeles.
