Standards and Guidelines Working Groups

ATA develops new standards and guidelines documents through collaborative work groups, composed of volunteer recruited broadly from the ATA membership, as well as from individuals and organizations outside of ATA. Each group contains representatives from healthcare institutions, academia, industry, professional associations, government and other key stakeholders.

Individuals and organizations interested in forming a work group to develop new standards and guidelines must first submit a petition for review by the Standards and Guidelines Committee, outlining the specific topic or scope of the project.

  • Public Comment Period Guide

    ATA offers public comment periods on certain actions to be taken that involve the public at large. Comment periods may vary but typically will at a minimum be 30 days. Comment periods are offered through the ATA website, with on-line comments accepted anonymously through the same website.
