Telemedicine gets a boost with new study

A new study provides ammunition for members of Congress who hope to expand health coverage, both private and public, to cover telemedicine. A new study, published in JAMA Oncology, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Medical Association, found telemedicine improves patient quality of life and decrease time in the hospital, particularly for late-stage cancer patients.
