Teresa Lee joined The Cigna Group in January 2021. As a graduate of Harvard University’s School of Public Health and with formal training as an attorney, Teresa is a recognized professional in the fields of healthcare reimbursement, policy and regulation. As a Senior Principal for Cigna Government Affairs, her focus has been public policy matters involving healthcare transparency, provider and network matters, quality and the delivery system. Prior to her work for Cigna, Teresa served in leadership roles in home health care policy, including as Chief Government Affairs Officer for VNA Health Group and as Executive Director for the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation. Teresa’s experience also extends to association roles, including at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Teresa began her career in the federal government where she served as a Senior Counsel in the Office of the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). A lifelong resident of the Washington area, Teresa earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California-Berkeley; a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard University’s School of Public Health; and a law degree from The George Washington University Law School.
