WASHINGTON, DC, JULY 19, 2023 – The American Telemedicine Association® (ATA) today announced that the 3rd annual Telehealth Awareness Week®, taking place September 17-23, 2023, will highlight the value telehealth brings to patients and helps to expand access to quality care, how virtual care is addressing many of the challenges faced by healthcare providers, and its role in building a modern, omnichannel care delivery system. Telehealth Awareness Week will feature a diverse coalition of stakeholders including hospital systems and medical practices, professional associations and patient advocacy leaders, policymakers, telehealth solution providers, and others.

“Since launching Telehealth Awareness Week in 2021, it has provided a special platform for patient communities, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to share their personal experiences with virtual care, shining a light on our most important message: Telehealth. Is. Health.,” said Ann Mond Johnson, CEO, the ATA. “Paired with the celebration of the ATA’s 30th anniversary, Telehealth Awareness Week 2023 will offer resources and educational opportunities designed to support all patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals who depend on telehealth to receive and deliver safe, quality care.”
