HHS Likely To Extend Emergency Declaration Through 2021

The nation’s coronavirus public health emergency will likely last throughout 2021, acting HHS secretary Norris Cochran signaled in a letter to governors.

“To assure you of our commitment to the ongoing response, we have determined that the [emergency] will likely remain in place for the entirety of 2021,” Cochran wrote in a letter dated Jan. 22.
