ATA is purposely organized as both a professional medical society for telehealth practitioners and a trade association for corporate interests.  By bringing these two key stakeholders together, ATA is able to develop appropriate telemedicine standards and quality assurance mechanisms, meaningful professional development opportunities and other association activities that advance the development and deployment ot telemedicine technologies. 

  
Membership Categories

ATA provides different membership types to suit the needs of different individuals and organizations in the telehealth space. All members share equal status in the association, affording optimum opportunities for collaboration, dialogue and growth of the industry as a whole.

ATA's membership types include:

Individual Membership

For individual clinicians, researchers, consultants or entrepreneurs interested in learning about telemedicine, networking with peers and professional development.

Student Membership

Complementary memberships for full-time students and hospital residents. Student Members get all the same membership benefits as Individual Members but do not receive voting rights in the association.

Institutional Membership

For non-profit healthcare providers, educational institutions and government agencies to join ATA as an organization. Institutional Members benefit from participation and networking in ATA’s Institutional Member Council.  All employees listed under an institutional membership receive full individual membership benefits.

Corporate Membership

For companies wanting to make a strategic investment in the future of the telemedicine industry. ATA actively connects and promotes its corporate members with marketing opportunities to healthcare providers, telemedicine practitioners, legislative bodies and medical societies. Corporate membership provides individual member benefits for all employees of the organization.
