This expert consensus statement defines tele-critical care nursing, identifies the key components of a successful tele-critical care nursing practice, outlines the structure required to foster an environment of continuous improvement, and defines the processes and relationships necessary for the successful integration of tele-critical nurses into the healthcare team. While this statement is not exhaustive, it is intended to serve as a tool to inform and evaluate tele-critical care nursing practices.
